The Charleston First Church of the Nazarene was begun in the Summer of 1928, a product of a revival meeting.

Through the years the church has had different locations, from the first building called the "Cracker Box" to the present day sanctuary the church dedicated in May of 1953.

Over the last several decades the church has ministered to families all across the Kanawha Valley and beyond, eventually planting 29 other churches.

As the church enters into the next century of service, First Church of the Nazarene is taking bold steps of faith to complete a Family Life center to reach more souls for The Lord.
